Food Truck Festival Fundraiser
Rachel Ennis and I have started talking about hosting a food truck/ street food festival in Brisbane as a fundraiser. My thought is that we would try to have our own beer and wine tent to earn money as well as potentially getting a percentage from the food vendors. I'm throwing out this idea now as I suspect there are lots of folks out there who might have information, experience or resources to contribute. In other words, let me know your thoughts!
Initial steps:
Determine location (Brisbane Marina?)
Permits
Date
Permits and logistics for alcohol sales
Entertainment
Contacting all food trucks (This part is actually pretty easy as there aren't many Bay Area trucks - at least compared to NY or LA)
Promotion
The company I freelanced for sponsored the massive food truck festival in LA last year and I've spoken to the folks who host the one in SF so I have a bunch of connections on the food truck/ logistics side of things.
This topic will get moved to our events group as soon as that gets going but to do this right, we'll need a lot of planning so I wanted to start the ball rolling as soon as possible.

Rachel and I talked a bit about this too. I wanted to connect it to a Brisbane Street Fair with a few venders from the farmers market and people could bring out the garage sale things too. I think we would get more people to come and eat food if we had additional things for them to do but then Im not much of a foodie.
Deedee, either you or Rachel should start a group so that we can all follow along as this thing gets organized.

Leesa Greenlee is working on getting musicians into town. Maybe that could be part of the entertainment?
