Hi all,

Wanted to make sure everyone had the following message sent out by Tony Palmer:

Our second Community Fundraising Meeting will be held this Sunday, April 17th, from 2-5pm at the Brisbane Community Center, below the Brisbane Public Library, at 250 Visitacion Avenue. The purpose of this meeting is to bring the community together, hear from the working groups who have been investigating revenue generating activities to help the Brisbane School District address ongoing funding challenges, and keep the momentum strong.  Working together, we can make a real and lasting improvement in the quality of education our kids receive.

Here is the working agenda:

Working Groups give updates on what they have achieved, focusing on wins/successes and significant contributions.
Working groups indicate where they need help.
Brainstorming session to discuss ideas not previously covered and assign to groups.
Working groups break to plan  (30 min) 1st session.
Working groups break to plan  (30 min) 2nd session.
Working groups report back to the main group   (1 hour).
Review: How we stay connected: School Board, our Principals, City Councils, and BEST/PTO.
Assign action items, set date for next meeting.
 This is a critical meeting to continue to leverage our collective passion for this school district and our neighborhood schools. Members of the school board usually attend  to participate and answer questions.

If you are interested in actively helping to solve this budget crisis and help the Brisbane School District continue to thrive, PLEASE COME.  If you need childcare, please RSVP, and let me know how many kids so we can plan appropriately.

Childcare will be provided for a donation of $10 per child for the entire 3 hours. We are using childcare professionals who work in local preschools. They are not cleared to change diapers, so potty trained kids only, or be prepared to be called out of the meeting to change your child, if needed.
